Description

Responsible for providing efficient policy administrative support and excellent insurance customer service to our policyholders and potential customers. Familiarity with state specific guidelines and procedures. Ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy. Promptly investigate and respond to all customer inquiries.

Hours: Full-time; core working hours

Location: Rockville, MD. Hybrid work schedule, In-office/remote

Supervisory Hierarchy: Reports to Insurance Service Representative Supervisor

Salary Range: $50,000 - $51,750 (base pay)

The Trust’s wholly owned subsidiary, Trust Risk Management Services, Inc. (TRMS), acts as Broker and Administrator for The Trust’s Professional Liability, Business Office, and Directors and Officers lines of insurance. Brokerage and administration services include policy underwriting, issuance, and lifecycle management; customer service; and technical services. TRMS is fully licensed to do business in all jurisdictions. TRMS has its own Allied Healthcare Professional Liability Insurance Program which offers very competitive Professional Liability, Student Liability, Business Office, and Directors and Officers Insurance coverage to Allied Healthcare Professionals in more than 120 professional classes. The Trust works with highly rated insurance companies to underwrite its insurance programs, primarily Lincoln Financial Group, Liberty Mutual, and Chubb, the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promptly accept an average of 30-40 daily calls from policyholders and potential customers
  • Process customer requests in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Enters detailed electronic notes of customer interactions in the database (details of inquiries, complaints, actions taken)
  • Follow through on internal investigation of pending issues (underwriting, claims) and provide rapid response and disposition to customer
  • Effectively handle daily data entry of individual renewal policies
  • Provide product education to market other Trust products 
  • Provide timely feedback to leadership team regarding systems issues or customer concerns
  • Handle specific tasks as trained: Process VOIs, emails, return mail, data entry of new business applications, installment payments, individual versus group policy underwriting, etc.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned based on company need, training and skill level

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess current Maryland Property and Casualty Insurance license
  • 1-2 years of experience in an insurance environment with customer interaction
  • Demonstrated superior customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
